What study types does Verble support?
Three types. Message-Focused is a deep dive into a single passage, verse by verse. Topic-Focused pulls together what Scripture says about a theme across multiple passages — good for practical life topics. Character Study walks through a biblical figure's life and story. You pick the type at the start, and everything Verble generates adapts to that approach.
Can I upload my own notes?
Yes. Before starting the study you can upload existing notes, commentaries, or any text you've already prepared. PDF, DOCX, TXT, JPG and PNG are all supported. You can also just paste text directly. Verble uses your material as context when building the lesson, so nothing you've already done goes to waste.
How long does it take to build a study?
Most leaders finish in 10 to 20 minutes. The setup wizard takes about two minutes. Exploring the passage and collecting insights usually takes another five to ten, depending on how deep you want to go. Then generating the lesson is one click. The result is a complete, structured study ready to run.

What is an 'insight'?
An insight is an AI-generated note about your passage. It can cover historical context, word meanings, cultural background, theological significance, cross-references, or practical application angles. You generate them from the passage, collect the ones you find useful, and Verble uses your selected insights to build the lesson. You stay in control of what goes in.
Can I chat with the AI about the passage?
Yes. There is a Study Chat panel open the whole time you are reading. You can ask anything about the text — why a character made a certain decision, what a word means in the original language, how this passage connects to something in the New Testament. You can save any answer from the chat as a note and add it to your study.
What does a generated lesson actually include?
A complete lesson includes an opening prayer, scripture reading, context setting, main teaching, discussion questions, application, and a closing prayer. Each section has a time estimate so you know how it fits your session length. The teaching draws directly from the insights you collected. Discussion questions are written for your specific audience and vibe. Everything is ready to hand to a co-leader or run yourself.
